Install OSX Mavericks Can't Be Verified

If you have found the steps for creating removable media to do a clean install of OSX Mavericks, you may have run into the next issue, as I did, when trying to do the clean install.  Upon launching the installer and formatting/repartitioning the drive on a MacBook Pro I then tried starting the install process only to get an error that, "This copy of the Install OSX Mavericks application can't be verified.  It may have been corrupted or tampered with during the download."
Come to find out, after much ado with trying to connect it to the network while doing the install and many other unsuccessful "fixes", I found a post stating that the date may be off on the machine.  It could not, therefore, verify a certificate because the date was set to a time before the creation of the cert.  So, to fix it simply:

1.) Launch Terminal
2.) Use the Date command to reset the date and time
a.) for 11/05/2013 at 11:30 am it would be: date 110511302013
b.) where 1105 is the month and day, 1130 is the current time, and 2013 is the year
3.) After doing this I was able to quit out of the Terminal and then restart the install successfully.
