Don't Update!!! MS13-036

This is one of the few times where I will be telling people not to update, but also why I preach the one, some, many approach to updating.
If you are following the one, some, many rule of updating (and I hope you are) then you probably haven't deployed all of this week's patch Tuesday patches enterprise wide, yet; and that is a good thing. Microsoft has issued a "recall" of sorts for MS13-036 (KB2823324).  This was a patch that fixed four problems in the kernel mode drivers of Windows versions from Server 2003 and XP on up.
The problem seems to be that certain systems fail to come back up after a restart.  Even if you system did restart properly, Microsoft is urging all users to remove this particular update until they can figure out what is going on.  One way to do this is by a commandline script that could be executed via Group Policy or other means:

     wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:2823324 /quiet /norestart

You, of course, could also just uninstall the update from Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features (depending on your version of Windows) if you only have a couple of machines on which it has been deployed.

Either way, sounds like you best roll back anything that has this currently installed to be on the safe side.
