March '12 Patch Tuesday
This month's patch Tuesday will be a lite one. However, what does lite matter when one of the six is a critical patch that could allow remote code execution and another is moderately rated allowing a possible DOS attack? The critical patch applies to all Microsoft OS's, so patch away my fellow SysAdmins. The two patches just mentioned are for Windows and accompanied by two other "important" updates for the OS.
The remaining two are also rated important and patch vulnerabilities in Visual Studio and Expression design that could allow elevation of privileges attack; for those not already running as admin :-)
So, as stated before, what does lite matter? One critical patch or 20, still going to have to reboot all those servers, folks.
