F-Secure deams W32.torrent.a trojan

F-Secure has named a new trojan :

W32.torrent.a

Like many of the fake AV programs that are hitting home users
around the world, this one installs itself and takes note of
whether or not you are using a bittorrent program.  If so, it
displays a message that you have been caught downloading
illegal material and that, for a low fee of $400 dollars, you
can take care of this matter pre-litigation.

The sad part, quite a few people are paying the "ransom". 
They obviously know what they are doing is wrong and fear the
hundred plus thousand dollar fines that you hear about on the
news.  Even worse, they could end up going through litigation
for their activities after already paying said ransom; as
always, it pays to be legit.
